La Befana.







On the night of January 5th, "la Befana" flies all over Italy on her magic broomstick.







She brings candies to good children...




but bad children find black coal in their stockings!

A traditional Nativity scene: Jesus, Mary and Joseph in a stable, a donkey and an ox, shepherds and sheep.
We create Nativity scenes in our homes and churches.
Il presepe: Gesù Bambino con la Madonna e San Giuseppe, l'asino e il bue, le statuine dei pastori e le pecorelle.

The snow!

We had 4 cm of snow on Monday 24 th November and 8 cm today.

The school garden is covered with snow.

Reuse and recycle

At school
We reuse and recycle paper.
Our box for reusable paper and our paper-recycling bin.
We decided to decorate them using reused materials.
At home

We recycle plastic, glass, paper, organic waste, aluminium.

We visited a vegetable garden near our school on 9th October.

Il banano.
Banana plants are unusual in Italy. They are cultivated as ornamental plants.

Leaf rubbing

Instructions:

1) Collect some leaves.







2) Put a leaf under a sheet of paper.









3) Gently rub the crayon.

4)Cut out.
